About Renaissance Development

Renaissance Development, Inc. is a Washington, DC-based construction company that specializes in tuckpointing: the restoration of historic brick buildings using traditional methods and materials. These efforts not only return these buildings to their original appearance; they also ensure their structural integrity for decades to come.

During the past two decades, the company has completed hundreds of projects in DC neighborhoods including Capitol Hill, Shaw, LeDroit Park, Dupont Circle, Logan Circle, Woodley Park, Glover Park, Georgetown, Adams Morgan, Kalorama, and Columbia Heights. Renaissance Development also works in Old Town Alexandria, one of Virginia’s largest historic districts.

Dr. Christina K. Wilson, founder and president of Renaissance Development, holds a doctorate in architectural history from the University of Virginia. After a distinguished career in adult education, Dr. Wilson founded Renaissance Development in 2004. During the past five years, she has also taught courses in the history and theory of architecture at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.
